Hoover Dam - Visit Website
Hoover Dam is a concrete gravity-arch dam in the Black Canyon of the Colorado River, on the border between Arizona and Nevada. The dam, located 48 kilometres (30 miles) southeast of Las Vegas, is named after Herbert Hoover, who played an instrumental role in its construction. Construction began in 1931 and was completed in 1936.
Lake Mead is the reservoir created behind the dam, named after Elwood Mead who oversaw the construction of the dam.

The Grand Canyon is a colorful, steep-sided gorge, carved by the Colorado River, in northern Arizona, USA. The canyon appears on many versions of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World list. It is largely contained within the Grand Canyon National Park — one of the first national parks in the United States.
The canyon, created by the Colorado River, is about 277 miles (446 km) long, ranges in width from 0.25 to 18 miles (0.5 to 29 kilometers) and attains a depth of more than a mile (1,600 m).

The Las Vegas Strip (also known as The Strip) is 4 mi (6.7 km) of Las Vegas Boulevard South partly in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. Many of the largest hotel, casino and resort properties in the world are located on The Strip.
The Strip runs from the Stratosphere at the northern end, to the Mandalay Bay on the southern end. Of the 4 miles, nearly 3.5 miles of it is located in the township of Paradise, Clark County. Only a small portion is within the city limits of Las Vegas. McCarran Airport is located at the southern end of The Strip, along with the famous Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign.
